Leanin’ lamp
It’s a home lamp? It’s a task light!
A prototype of a lamp made for working from home, creating a change in headspace through a change in lighting and a funky subversion of the classic home lamp. A lockdown project using first hand experience of the difficulties of working from home.
In collaboration with Jo Ryan Gill, and Tom Clark

We visualised this lamp for a bustling space where the switch from relaxation and work had to be fast!

We visualised this lamp for a bustling space where the switch from relaxation and work had to be fast!
This project was in collaboration with VG&P, designing a product for a HOME/WORK range. A recurring theme whilst brainstorming was how to separate these two things.
We found that by combining these spaces in our daily lives we had lost our ways of being able change from our work hats to home hats. This had created a slightly unhealthy way of living, withour brains not being able to switch off once the work day was done.
This lamp aimed to create both a physical (using lighting and movement) and mental shift. More importantly! We wanted it to be fun.
