Christmas banister was born from the thoroughfares of the home and the queer experience of kin. Seeking to explore these marginal states, the development of this installation combined drawings from the queer community, research from the Museum of the Home’s archive, and my lived experience of staircases and corridors to produce an unconventional Christmas tree installation when viewed from the front.
